Donald Trump and UK politician Nigel Farage celebrate in Trump Tower, New York, November 2016

I joined Times Radio early Monday for a 50-minute Week in Review, beginning with the chaotic behavior of Donald Trump, the political grift of his British buddy Nigel Farage, and their scheme to take power in the UK.

Listen to Discussion from 2:07.10

I chat with Olly Mann about Trump’s latest thought bubbles. These include his retreat only two days after declaring a 50% tariff on all goods from the European Union, and his outburst at Vladimir Putin over Russia’s record-setting drone and missile strikes on Ukraine.

In the second half, I turn to Farage, the leader of the UK Reform Party, and his pose as “friend of the working class” — a brazen play for Labour Party voters given Reform’s attacks on employment rights, the National Health Service, and unemployment and other benefits.

I analyze the Trump camp’s campaign for Farage, using the Reform Party’s outlet GB “News” and false claims about “free speech”, to try and topple Labour.

At the end, there is a brief look at King Charles III’s visit to Canada and how Trump has revigorated ties between Ottawa and the UK monarchy.
