On the one-month anniversary of Donald Trump’s return to the White House, I joined the Pat Kenny Show on Dublin NewsTalk to assess the damage in the US and abroad, and to consider Trump’s pursuit of autocracy.

I begin with the attempt by Trump and his unelected co-President, Elon Musk, to break the US system so it serves only their interests. I critique Trump’s executive orders, include his threats to those who identify as transgender, migrants, and asylum seekers.

And I summarize his destructive moves abroad, from advocacy of ethnic cleansing in Gaza to support of Vladimir Putin’s three-year invasion of Ukraine.
