EA on International Media: Trump and Musk Try To Break the US Government

EA on UK and Indian Outlets: Damage and Disinformation of Trump’s Tariffs

I join RTE Radio 1’s Brendan O’Connor Show for a 53-minute panel on Irish politics, US-Ireland relations, the destruction of Donald Trump and Elon Musk, and cultural moments from Pierce Brosnan to Miss Baker the Space Monkey.

The other panellists are Mick Clifford the Irish Examiner; Lorna Fitzpatrick of Instinctif Partners; and Mary Hanafin, barrister and former Education Minister.

I learn from the others about the latest Irish political scandal and about housing, which may be the greatest challenge for the new coalition Government.

I contribute to discussion of how Ireland should maneuver with the Trump regime, including Taoiseach Micheal Martin’s trip to Washington to St. Patrick’s Day, and of the Trump-Musk mission to take apart the US system.

We look at AI scams, including how a Nottingham art gallery was duped by a deep fake video of former James Bond actor Brosnan.

As the show crosses fingers for Ireland’s EuroVision entry Laika Party, I conclude with a reflection from an Alabama childhood about visiting Miss Baker, one of the two monkeys sent into space by the US program in 1959.
