Elon Musk’s Not-So-Secret Mission: Overthrow the UK Government
I joined BBC Radio Ulster’s Steven Rainey on Sunday for an 20-minute analysis of Elon Musk’s mission to overthrow the UK Government.
Listen to Discussion from 7:35
I summarize the launch of Musk’s campaign of disinformation, libel, and political manipulation on New Year’s Eve. I put it in the context of his personal quest to promote far-right parties and figures, including in the UK and Germany. And I look at Musk’s allies, including the UK’s Reform Party and its two national outlets, GB News and Talk TV.
You might remember last July, when we were dealing with riots whipped up by the far right in the UK. Elon Musk, in the middle of that, said, “Civil war is coming.”
And now….
Even if you don’t think Musk was serious, you have a British media system which is amplyifying the disinformation and the political discord that follows.
Because of course, the Reform Party is happy to take advantage of this.
This could have gone farther had Elon Musk not turned against Nigel Farage — because Musk was upset that Farage was not supporting the far-right convict Tommy Robinson.
