Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump at the G20 summit, Osaka, Japan, June 28, 2019

I joined the UK’s Talk TV and India’s News 9 on Monday for a 45-minute discussion of the threats of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump to their countries and to the world.

I set Putin’s “victory” in Russia’s managed Presidential elections in the context of his 24 1/2-month invasion of Ukraine, his attempt to break Russian civil society, and his warning of “World War 3” if the international community continues to support Kyiv’s resistance.

Then I look at a wannabe-Putin in Donald Trump, attempting to blackmail Americans with his declaration of a “bloodbath” and an end to elections if President Joe Biden defeats him in November.

Robert Fox of the Evening Standard and I consider Putin’s tactics at home and in Ukraine, debating whether his priority will be military conquest or a “propaganda war” to break supprot for Kyiv.

Then we explore Trump’s campaign tactics of leading the media with the “spectacle and horror show” of American carnage — and the breaking news that the self-proclaimed “billionaire” cannot post the $434 million bond to cover the penalty in his civil conviction for fraud.

The host is Vanessa Feltz.
