I explain the significance of Trump’s nonsense: a mangling of history which tips off both his ignorance and his ego; the latent denial of race and thus of slavery as part of the Civil War; and his distortion of a 19th-century insurrection to vindicate his own in the 21st century.
And I note: despite the severity of both the assault on the past and the assault on the present, Trump’s opponents for the Republican nomination will never call him out over his lies and threats.

Can you please explain to your readers why states are involved in the selection of candidates during Republican and Democratic primaries but not with caucuses? This would appear to be an internal party affair, so why must states determine who gets on the ballot and count the votes in the case of primaries? It just appears to be as if the two parties are almost

Despite what MSNBC claims, the DoJ counsel stumbled on the point he conceded that Presidents DO enjoy immunity from prosecution for official acts taken in emergency situations. Even so, 2 of the 3 appeal court judges are Biden appointees and will not rule in favour of Trump. who can appeal for an “en banc” hearing with all 11 circuit judges.
