I worked with international TV and radio outlets on Thursday about the resignation of UK Prime Minister Liz Truss (pictured) after a disastrous 44 days in office.

I discuss Truss’s incompetence; her Cabinet’s complicity in the “mini-budget” that threatened a meltdown of markets, soaring interest rates, and insolvent pension funds; and the economic crisis developing before Truss took office and after she departed.

We look at the process to choose a successor to Truss and whom it might be — including the tragi-comedy of Boris Johnson, who quit in disgrace less than two months ago, trying to return to 10 Downing Street.
