I joined Ireland’s RTE Radio 1 on Friday for a review of the latest developments in Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

I chat with host John Cooke about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine, converted by Russian occupiers into a military base.

We discuss the shift in the war with Ukraine’s attacks on bases and infrastructure in Crimea, occupied by Russia since 2014.

And I explain why Russia’s offensive in eastern Ukraine, having taken the Luhansk region, is now struggling to advance further.
