Coronavirus testing at Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey, United Kingdom, April 23, 2020 (PA)

In our latest 15-minute UK Week in Review, I spoke with talkRADIO’s Darryl Morris about the Government’s fumbling and deceptions over Coronavirus.

As the official UK death toll nears 20,000 — and are thousands more deaths in care homes go unrecorded — we look at:

*How Ministers covered up their lie over their refusal, because of Brexit, to join the European Union’s procurement of vital medical supplies such as ventilators and personal protective equipment for healthcare workers;

*How the Government failed to provide adequate testing, and whether it can recover the situation amid its fool-hardy target of 100,000 daily tests by April 30

Is there a way forward? We discuss Scotland’s alternative example, setting out health, economic, and social proposals for containment and recovery, while its London counterpart refuses to give the public any idea of planning.
