Britain’s new Prime Minister Boris Johnson (File)

Anticipating the election of Boris Johnson as Conservative Party leader and next UK Prime Minister, I spoke with UK and international outlets on Tuesday about the immediate shift from Johnson’s inauguration to the Brexit quagmire that is likely to mean a short-lived stay in office.

I chat with talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer about the divisions within the Conservative Party, doubts about Johnson including among Ministers, and Parliament’s resistance to a No Deal Brexit crash-out of the European Union on October 31.

The question is whether the parade is over before it begins.

There is also a brief discussion of the latest on Iran’s seizure of a British tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, and how the UK and Europe might respond.
