Donald Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and National Security Advisor John Bolton
UPDATE, JUNE 19: I joined talkRADIO’s Eamonn Holmes on Tuesday afternoon to offer further information and context about the US-Iran conflict and how far it might go:
I think we need to take some heat out of the headlines over moves on both sides. Each side is signalling to the other, “We’re very, very serious”, but in a way that says we don’t want to take this to a military confrontation.
I spoke with Monocle 24’s Andrew Mueller and with talkRADIO’s Mike Graham on Tuesday, describing the state of the US-Iran conflict and evaluating whether the Trump Administration has any coherence in its approach towards the Middle East and Tehran.
The conversation with talkRADIO sets out the state of the political and military maneuvers, taking some of the heat out of headlines by explaining Iran’s nuclear program and the calculations of Washington and Tehran.
Then on Monocle 24, it’s a wider look beyond the latest US announcement that 1,000 more military personnel will be deployed: from Iran to Syria to Israel-Palestine to Iraq, is there any US strategy in the region?
