I spoke with talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer on Thursday about reports that Donald Trump might risk his second venture to the UK as US President, coming to the NATO summit in December.

We set the possibility amid concerns — shared by commanders in the US military — about Trump’s temperament, including his record of insults of NATO members and even of UK Prime Minister Theresa May.

Targeting individual leaders of NATO states is not the way to carry out diplomacy, especially when you’re embracing Vladimir Putin.

And then there’s the small matter that “we have to see if he is still President in December”.
