I joined Alexis Conran and former MP Lembit Öpik on talkRADIO to discuss the latest developments around Donald Trump.

The 15-minute discussion begins with a walkthrough of the Trump-Russia investigation and the attempt to disrupt it with the Nunes Memo, explaining the effort is, well, “we have a word for it in the South and it has to do with cattle and manure”.

Then it’s a comparison with the greatest crisis in US political history since 1945 before this one, Watergate. In the 1970s case, honorable GOP legislators helped bring about a resolution whereas now most Republicans are co-dependents of Trump and will try to prop him up in office.

The chat also takes apart Trump’s supposed appeal to millions of Americans facing economic difficulties.
