Inderjeet Parmar of City University London and The Trump Project speaks with CNN about the controversy over the sexual behavior in the 1970s of Roy Moore (pictured), the GOP candidate in the Alabama Senate special election in December.

Moore is alleged to have pursued relationship with teenage women as young as 14 when he was a district attorney in his 30s.

Parmar notes that Moore will continue to campaign on polarizing issues such as abortions and Islam, despite the turmoil. He looks beyond the election to note that the allegations bring bigger questions that concern “party over principle”, namely the issue of men abusing their power to commit illegal and immoral acts.
