Trump: “I was PROBABLY going to be named ‘Man (Person) of the Year'”
Developments on Day 309 of the Trump Administration:
Trump’s Shot at Time Magazine
On a five-day Thanksgiving vacation at his Florida resort, Donald Trump still grabs headlines by exalting his status and dismissing a magazine which might not recognize him this year:
Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

Trump, who has fake magazine covers — including of Time — praising him on the walls of his offices, was named Person of the Year after his 2016 election triumph. However, in previous years he railed against Time over its failure to name him, including when he was runner-up in 2015.
Free from close watch by White House staff while he is at his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump put out a series of impromptu messages on Friday. He fumed again about National Football League players and noted a call with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan before mentioning that he would be spending part of the day on the golf course:
After Turkey call I will be heading over to Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter, to play golf (quickly) with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson. Then back to Mar-a-Lago for talks on bringing even more jobs and companies back to the USA!

There was no further news of those supposed discussions on the economy, as Trump used an attack in Egypt which killed at least 235 people to promote The Wall on the US-Mexican border and his Muslim Ban on entry into the US, thrice blocked by courts:
Will be calling the President of Egypt in a short while to discuss the tragic terrorist attack, with so much loss of life. We have to get TOUGHER AND SMARTER than ever before, and we will. Need the WALL, need the BAN! God bless the people of Egypt.

Despite the limited work schedule, Trump still managed to cause a possible tangle with US diplomacy and military operations. Turkish officials claim the President told Erdoğan that the US will withdraw support in Syria from the Kurdish YPG militia, the leading faction in the Syrian Democratic Forces backed by Washington to push back the Islamic State since autumn 2015.

Retired Gen. Martin Dempsey, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, appears to send a message to Trump via Twitter:
Great leaders do not need to convince others of their greatness; the quality of their #leadership is self-evident. #GiveThemMemories #RadicalInclusion
