In a seven-minute video, the New York Times explains how Russia and the Assad regime put out waves of disinformation to cover up the regime’s chemical attack on a town in northwest Syria on April 4.

The use of “sarin or a sarin-like substance”, in a missile fired by a regime Su-22 jet, killed at least 93 people and injured almost 600 in Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib Province. Trying to shift blame from Damascus, Moscow and the regime have issued a series of unsupported, contradictory claims while attempting to block an international investigation.
