Trump is pretty much serving notice on [chief strategist] Steve Bannon that he is going to rely on other people and that he finds Bannon has not been productive so far….

But this is beyond Trump. He doesn’t lead in isolating Bannon — it’s others who get the President to speak publicly. Two factions are key: a faction led by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and the pragmatists at the agencies. They let it be known that Bannon is counter-productive and that it’s time for the adults to take charge of the White House playground.
