PHOTO: Donald Trump makes his point

Ahead of today’s five “Mega-Tuesday” primaries, which are likely to confirm Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as the Republican and Democratic nominees for the US Presidency, I spoke with BBC Radio Wales.

The conversation starts with an explanation of how Trump has maneuvered to the verge of the nomination — a combination of both his appeal to anger and fear and the weakness of the Republican Party establishment’s weakness.

But discussion soon moves to Trump’s effect on US politics, and I spared no words in describing the poison that is damaging American society — even if the businessman is defeated by Clinton in November.
