Throughout the two weeks of the Israeli attacks on Gaza, Jonathan Miller of Britain’s Channel 4 has challenged both the Israeli authorities and Hamas with his first-hand accounts of death and destruction, via both television and social media. He has challenged other posters on Twitter — “WRONG! Gaza is occupied. I don’t just mean the invasion. Israel controls land sea + air” — and retweeted observations cutting to the core of the conflict:

On Sunday, Miller tweeted soon after he toured Shaja’ia, where more than 70 people were killed by a 12-hour Israeli bombardment:
