Syria’s State media celebrates the regime’s renewed control of Yabroud, the largest city in the Qalamoun region, taken by Syrian forces and Hezbollah last weekend.

Members of a local council told a meeting that it would “secure suitable conditions for the return of families” through repairs, maintenance of infrastructure, and restoration of services.

The Council thanked the Syrian army, saying national reconciliation will accompany “victories in pursuing terrorists”. The Governor of Damascus Province, Hussein Makhlouf, declared that the capture of the city “will erase from the minds of the Syrian all scenes of vandalism and destruction”.
