Dear Readers,
We have had feedback from some of you who have said that you would like to see a list of recent comments.
You can now quickly and easily access this option from the top menu homepage here (see under About > 100 Recent Comments).
You can click on the arrows at the bottom of the page to load more comments. We are experimenting with ways to display this.
We chose this option rather than putting comments in the sidebar, because this way we can display more comments without removing the list of recent posts, and we can also have the comments accessed from the same menu as our comments policy, which we think will be useful for new readers. We have seen this work well on other sites.
We also need the sidebar space right now for our advertisers, to cover at least a small amount of our running costs.
