I joined a panel on BBC World Service’s Have Your Say on Thursday to consider whether President Rouhani’s “engagement” will make a difference on issues from Syria to Tehran’s nuclear program to political prisoners at home.
Others involved are BBC Persian’s Amir Paivar, Iranian blogger and activist Masih Alinejad, IT specialist Kaveh, and a Tehran University professor.
One of the take-away lines: the US Government may be as important as the Supreme Leader in Rouhani’s success…or failure.
