On Tuesday I spoke with Christina Okello of Radio France International about Donald Trump’s decision to wage war on the National Football League over any player who kneels during the National Anthem.

Cutting through Trump’s political gambit with his base, I spoke about why his confrontation — now in its sixth day — raises issues of race and freedom of speech.
