Following Donald Trump’s 75-minute rant to a partially-filled convention center in Arizona, I spoke with Monocle 24’s The Briefing on Wednesday about a performance that marked the instability of the President and about what happens now.

Listen from 7:47

Trump is feeling cornered, he’s feeling like he’s being attacked on all sides. But instead of cowering, he hits back.

If a bad workman blames his tools, a bad President blames the media, immigrants, Hillary Clinton, Republican senators like John McCain and Jeff Flake.

The discussion considers how long before Trump is finally pushed from office, how he will go deeper into his White House bunker, and how in the meantime he is damaging the US image abroad.
