EA-Frontline VideoCast: Ukraine Prepares for Russia’s Winter Assault

I joined Poland’s TVP World on Wednesday to analyze Russia’s hybrid warfare across Europe and the response of NATO and its member countries.

I begin with the hope of the Kremlin, as it struggles in its 55-month full-scale invasion of Ukraine, that it can break civilian resistance and energy infrastructure with aerial attacks this winter.

Then I summarize the wider threat from the Kremlin and the measures to counter its sabotage, cyber-attacks, drone overflights, and “shadow fleet”.

I agree with host Ashish Kumar that responses have been too slow. However, noting that the seriousness of the situation has been acknowledged, I anticipate coordination among NATO members and further pressure on Russia.
