I joined Frontline’s Louis Sykes on Tuesday for a 24-minute assessment of the forthcoming Russian aerial assault on Ukraine this winter, perhaps the last chance for Vladimir Putin to force Kyiv’s surrender.

I describe how and why the Kremlin is holding US and Ukrainian efforts for talks and an energy ceasefire. Then I explain how, with little advance on frontlines, the Kremlin is counting on the missile and drone strikes to finally break Ukraine’s resistance.
