I joined Dublin NewsTalk’s Sean Moncrieff on Monday to analyze the dark comedy that is Trump TV, launched last week on the YouTube channel of the White House.
Sacrificing myself for the greater good, I joined 181 other people in watching an hour of the Trumpist propaganda, consisting solely of old clips of Donald at rallies and ceremonies.
I then explained how the channel fits the Trump agenda of turning US media into North Korea-style subservience to the Dear Leader. I set that in the context of Trump’s attacks on media, including threats of violence, lawsuits, and punishment by the Federal Communications Commission — as well as his friends running some of the leading US outlets.
