EA on WION: Netanyahu Asks UAE Leader to Intervene in Israel’s Election
I joined Pakistan TV’s Sana Maqbool on Monday to analyze why most people in Ireland support Palestinians over Israel’s occupation, illegal settlements, and mass killing.
I set out the context of Irish history for the contemporary situation in Gaza and the West Bank. I describe the extent of actions by the Irish Government, in league with others, from recognition of a State of Palestine to a ban on Israeli goods from the West Bank.
I add the assessment that, while these steps are welcome, the Israeli Government retains freedom of actions as long as countries and blocs such as the US, Germany, and the European Union do not apply significant pressure.
