I joined Talk TV on Wednesday night for a wide-ranging analysis of the UN General Assembly, highlighting issues from the US War on Iran to US-UK relations to the isolation of Israel over its attacks and occupations across the Middle East.

I explain to host Phil Dave how Iran’s leaders, in contrast to Donald Trump’s threat of “annihilation”, put forward the willingness to negotiate while emphasizing that they would not surrender.

I take apart the attempt of the Trump camp, in alliance with the UK’s hard-right Reform Party, to use the Chagos Islands issue to undermine the British Government.

And while identifying the difficulties for Israel at the Assembly, I knock back the label of “anti-semitism” stuck on legitimate criticisms of the Israeli Government’s actions and violence.
