I joined Petrie Hosken on Talk TV for a 17-minute reflection on 9/11 and what we did not learn over the next 25 years from the murder of almost 3,000 civilians on that day.
I recall witnessing the destruction from Wuhan University in China, where I had just been energized by meeting more than 300 students in a discussion of US foreign policy. I remember watching live coverage for hours and trying to confirm the safety of our University of Birmingham students who were en route to a Year Abroad in the US or Canada.
And then I work through the conspiracy theories, division, and violence that was magnified for years afterwards from Afghanistan to Iraq to Israel and Gaza to the War on Iran — and to the War on Decency inside America.
