I joined LBC’s Matt Frei on Saturday morning for a sharp takedown of the Trump camp’s threat to public health.
I begin with the persecution of Dr. Anthony Fauci, 85, the doctor who helped save millions of lives during the COVID pandemic with containment measures and vaccines. I explain how and why Trumpists and conspiracy theorists, led by Sen. Rand Paul, are trying to imprison the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Then I highlight Trump’s order to end the combined measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, spurred by the anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. I note doctors’ warning that the separation of MMR into its three components will decrease vaccination, as the US has already set an annual record with almost 2,700 measles cases so far in 2026.
I also discuss Trump’s dead end in the Iran War while he blusters that he will claim the Strait of Hormuz — the vital waterway controlled by Tehran — as American territory.
I conclude with his flight in a catering truck from Air Force One to another jet last month, following “low confidence” Israeli intelligence about a possible attack by the Iranians.
