EA-Ukraine VideoCast: Kyiv Tries to Cut Off Russian-Occupied Crimea
UK Boards Russian Tanker for 1st Time
In a 32-minute VideoCast, I joined Frontline’s Philip Ingram on Wednesday to analyze not only Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but its “hybrid warfare” across Europe.
We begin with the Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich in the English Channel, firing warning shots over a yacht which got too close, and with Moscow’s plot to set fires in a car and near properties connected with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
We set that in the wider context of the Kremlin’s decision in 2014, following the fall of pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych amid mass protests in Ukraine, to step up destablization operations, disinformation, and interference in elections across Europe and in the US.
Then we turn to the latest challenges for Russia amid Ukraine’s counter-attacks, an economy under pressure, gasoline rationing, and stalled frontlines.
We also take a look at Donald Trump’s failed war on Iran.
