Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky paid his first visit to Syria on Sunday.

Talks with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan are part of Zelensky’s ongoing pursuit of cooperation with Middle East countries and Turkey, amid the US-Israel War on Iran.

In the past 10 days, Zelensky has held talks with leaders in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, and Turkey. He has signed 10-year defense cooperation agreements, building upon Ukraine’s provision of anti-drone weapons and experts to the Gulf States.

Syria’s al-Sharaa commented:

ORIGINAL ENTRY: Three civilians have been murdered, including a mother and her 2-year-old daughter, and 15 injured by overnight Russian attacks on Odesa in southern Ukraine.

Among the wounded are a toddler, two teenagers and a pregnant woman. Two adults are in critical condition, one in neurosurgery and the other in an intensive care unit for burn victims.

Two residential buildings, 12 homes, a preschool, a store, and 27 cars were damaged in the Primorskyi and Kyivski districts.

In the Chernihiv region in northern Ukraine, more than 340,000 customers are without power.

An energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district was damaged, and another in the Nizhyn district was struck.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky posted about Russia’s assault with more than 140 attack drones — part of more than 2,800 drones, almost 1,350 guided aerial bombs, and more than 40 missiles fired this week.

Right now, all partners need to strengthen air defense together so that the interception rate of drones and missiles continues to increase. This is a daily effort for everyone, not just Ukraine, because through supplies, support for us, and joint work, our partners are helping themselves as well. Russia has no intention of stopping.
