EA-War and Politics 24 Special: How Ukraine Defeated Putin’s “3-Day War”…and Is Donald Trump A Russian Asset?

I joined Times Radio’s Louis Sykes on Monday for a 29-minute examination of Russia’s struggles in its 49-month full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

I open with an overview of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s tour of the Gulf States and its potential political, financial, and energy benefits for Kyiv.

Then I explain how Moscow’s spring offensive has yet to compensate for its loss of territory in February, let alone break through Ukrainian frontlines.

While Russia is still maintaining its aerial assault on Ukraine’s civilians, with almost 1000 missiles and drones in one day, it has not broken resistance and energy infrastructure.

In contrast, Ukraine’s attacks inside Russia are constricting the Kremlin’s oil exports, compensating for the boost to Vladimir Putin from the US-Israel War on Iran and waiving of American sanctions.
