UK Politics: Why “Hannah The Plumber” and the Green Party Offer Hope
I joined Byline Times’ Adrian Goldberg for a 26-minute deep dive into how “Brexit Britain” stranded itself in international affairs.
I detail the political, econonmic, and military consequences of the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union in 2020, isolating Britain in subsequent crises from Ukraine to Gaza to the current US-Israel War on Iran.
I take apart the myth of the “Special Relationship” with the US, as I explain the Trump camp’s plot — working with Donald Trump’s former employee Nigel Farage and his hard-right Reform Party — to undermine and topple the Starmer Government.
The institutional alliances of the “special relationship” have been between the military, intelligence services, and economic institutions.
We now have an institutional alliance between Trump’s people with the Reform Party’s people.
And I consider if there is a way back from the isolation, instability, and decline.
