EA on France 24 and Talk TV: Can Ukraine-Europe Get Progress from Trump-Putin Meeting?

EA on Monocle Radio: Trump to Foreigners — Don’t Come to the US

I joined BBC Radio Ulster’s Talkback on Thursday for a discussion of whether Donald Trump should receive a Nobel Peace Prize.

To listen, you need to be in the UK or to use a VPN.

Listen from 1:05.35

I explain why the award would diminish the Nobel and its significance for international values and security. I note how the Nobel Committee has made serious mistakes in the past — think Henry Kissinger in 1973 — but how most of the recipients embody hopes for decency, rights, and peace.

The discussion was supposed to include Trumpist spokesperson Fred Fleitz, but he got angry and hung up the phone after only two sentences of my initial answer.

So with host William Crawley playing devil’s advocate, I explain how a convicted felon has not — as his supporters maintained — “ended five wars” this year.
