A severely malnourished girl in Gaza (World Health Organization)

Hours before the UK Government provisionally recognized the State of Palestine, I joined BBC Radio Wales what steps London and the Trump Administration could and should take to halt Israel’s mass killing and starvation of Gazans.

Much of the conversation revolves around the Israeli cutoff of aid, putting all of Gaza’s civilians at risk of famine.

In reply to the question, “What can the UK and the US do?”, I answer:

The UK, US, and rest of the international community can call for an unconditional, immediate ceasefire on all sides and the restoration of aid by those who have provided assistance for many years, such as the UN and humanitarian agencies.

If the UK and US do not do that, many people will die soon from starvation.
