French authorities took an oil tanker, suspected of being part of Russia’s “shadow fleet”, to waters near Marseille on Friday.
The Deliver, seized on Thursday, is one of nine ships intercepted across Europe since the start of 2026. All are suspected of evasion of international sanctions on Russia’s maritime oil.
UPDATE 1059 GMT:
At least seven civilians were murdered and at least 89 injured by Russian attacks across Ukraine over the past day.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia has launched around 1,400 attack drones, nearly 1,500 guided aerial bombs, and 19 missiles over the past week.
Two passengers on a minibus were killed and 12 injured, including two children, by a Russian drone strike on Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region in southeast Ukraine.
One person was killed and two wounded elsewhere in the region overnight.
In the neighboring Zaporizhzhia region, at least one person was killed and 23 injured, including three children.
Another civilian was murdered and 14 injured in the Sumy region in northeast Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv region in the northeast, a 79-year-old woman was killed, and eight others injured.
Casualties were also reported in the Chernihiv and Kherson regions.

Ukraine air defenses downed 113 of 129 drones launched by Russia overnight, but 13 UAVs hit seven locations.

Russian proxy officials in occupied Crimea have declared an “emergency situation” amid Ukrainian attacks threatening to cut off the peninsula.
The governor of Sevastopol said emergency crews are trying to ease power cuts but residents must use appliances sparingly. Operating hours are restricted for public transport, shops, cafes and street lights.
Fuel sales are still suspended except for the military and essential services.
Honoring the Crimean Tatar people on Friday, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “Today, Ukraine is depriving Russia of this launchpad and drawing a line under its attempts to normalize war.”
ORIGINAL ENTRY: A Ukrainian missile strike targeted a Russian military facility in Volgograd overnight.
The attack set off explosions and a fire in the city. Videos showed smoke rising above the site.
Eyewitnesses said the target was the Titan-Barrikady military plant, which produces launchers for strategic missile systems.
The strike was reportedly carried out with Ukrainian-made long-range Flamingo cruise missiles. Volgograd is around 354 km (220 miles) from Ukraine’s eastern border.
Volgograd Governor Andrey Bocharov confirmed Ukrainian “high-speed aerial targets” struck the city, damaging “production facilities at one of Volgograd’s enterprises in the Krasnooktyabrsky District”. Titan-Barrikady is located in that district.
