EA-Ukraine VideoCast: Kyiv Tries to Cut Off Russian-Occupied Crimea

I joined Ukrainian journalist Daniel Tkiie on Wednesday for a 24-minute analysis of Ukraine’s latest pressure on the Kremlin’s invasion, from gasoline shortages across Russia to the threatened isolation of Russian-isolated Crimea.

While noting the success of Ukraine’s counter-attacks causing military and economic damage to the Russians, I caution that a “desperate” Kremlin is trying to break Ukrainians with their record-setting missile and drone attacks.

And I stress that Vladimir Putin will not easily give up Crimea, “They will order their folks to hold out as long as possible.”

We begin with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s meeting with Donald Trump at the G7 summit, assessing whether this will lead to a Trump “U-turn” and assistance for Kyiv.
