I joined Times Radio’s Maddie Hale on Saturday morning for a 42-minute deep dive into the latest difficulties for Donald Trump of the US-Israel War on Iran.
With the Iranian regime controlling the Strait of Hormuz and retaliating against Israel and the Gulf States, I explain why the Trump Administration has struggled in its pursuit of “regime surrender”.
Given that difficulty, I consider whether the Administration will take the risk of ground operations, probably against Iranian islands. I highlight the military challenges as well as the economic shocks that will ensue.
But before all of this, I deal with Trump’s latest bizarre display, with “Crazy Uncle Donald” crashing the party at Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative conference in Miami.
What does it say for the US when the President boasts that he surrounds himself with “losers” so he can look good and tells the audience, “Ask me any question. Even about sex”?
