EA-Times Radio VideoCast: Russia Wobbles Over Its Invasion of Ukraine

As Ukraine-Russia-US talks make little progress in halting Vladimir Putin’s 4-year full-scale invasion, I had a 33-minute chat with the Ukrainian outlet War and Politics 24 on Thursday.

I review last week’s 3rd set of talks. The “military group” made headway over enforcement of a ceasefire, but Russia’s delegation blocked any substantive negotiation in the “political group”.

Then I focus on the Kremlin’s manipulation of Donald Trump’s envoys, real estate developer Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and whether Kyiv and its European partners can hold off the Russian demands for capitulation over territory and security guarantees — and for the downfall of the Zelensky Government.

President Zelensky’s message wound up Vladimir Putin in a very important way.

As well as saying, “I’m a lot younger and probably better-looking,” he was saying, “I’m not going away.”

Until you get a ceasefire, you cannot hold elections and you cannot expect the Zelensky Government to say, “We’re going to go on vacation.”
