Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein (CNN/File)
EA-CEO Retort VideoCast: The Meaning of Trump-Epstein for US Politics and Society
I joined Times Radio’s Maddie Hale on Monday for a 38-minute deep dive into the Trump camp’s largest release of files from the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein — and its largest, perhaps final cover-up for those who might be involved in the sexual abuse of hundreds of girls.
I analyze the release of around 2.7 million pages and, more importantly, the withholding of more than 3 million. I discuss attempt, spearheaded by Trump lawyer/Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, to shut down any potential prosecution not only of Donald Trump but of any other person who might be implicated in Epstein’s crimes.
The Deputy Attorney General, who is also Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, is saying Trump will not face accountability. He’s saying no one will face accountability, at least in a legal proceeding.
I work through the most serious allegations that the Trump camp is trying to fend off. And I reiterate the priority: transparency, accountability, and justice for Epstein’s survivors.
If we had this conversation in 2014, we would have been talking about the #MeToo movement and women being heard. There was a political culture that recognized abuse of women could not be excused, could not be tolerated, could not be covered up.
In 2026, certain people in very powerful positions believe that women can be abused without their voices being heard, without their cases being recognized, and no abuser paying any price.
