I joined Times Radio’s Darryl Morris for a 50-minute Week in Review early Monday, ranging from ex-Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein to the 4th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine to a killing in Mexico to Donald Trump’s ego and power trip with his “Board of Peace”.

Listen to Discussion from 2:05.23

I begin with an analysis of the latest developments in the scandal around the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, focusing on the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

While discussing the political and legal significance for survivors and UK society, I also highlight the need for similar accountability and transparency in the US, including over Donald Trump’s ties with Epstein.

I expand on revelations about US and UK intelligence of the impending full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine four years ago, highlighting Ukrainian resistance and resilience.

When Zelensky and his Cabinet ministers — by the light of their phones — go out in public in Kyiv and say, “We are here”…

When Zelensky says, “I don’t need a ride. I need ammunition”…

And when Ukrainians defended Hostomel Airport…

At that point Putin lost his first gamble. A few weeks later, not only did Ukrainians hold Kyiv, they forced the Russians out of northern Ukraine.

Darryl and I interview journalist Jonathan Bonfiglio about the killing of the head of Mexico’s Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

And I take apart the spectacle and lack of substance of Trump’s “Board of Peace” show in Washington last Thursday.

Far from offering any prospects for Gazans — but offering profits for Trump and his associates — I note how the event was part of the Trump camp’s promotion of hard-right parties, including in their campaign to undermine the European Union and European governments.
