EA on International Outlets: Zelensky-Europe Face Trump’s Envoys in Berlin

I joined Ukraine’s War and Politics 24 on Thursday in a 34-minute analysis of the latest developments around Russia’s 47-month full-scale invasion.

I begin with an assessment of the latest economic pressure on the Kremlin with the lowest Russian oil revenues since 2020.

I detail the maneuvers as Ukraine and Europe have regained the political high ground, obtaining security guarantees for Kyiv as Vladimir Putin rejects a ceasefire and demand more Ukrainian territory.

I explain the importance of ongoing support for Ukraine’s resistance, including a European loan for Kyiv’s financial needs.

And I conclude:

In February 2022 you had to endure the nightmare of not knowing if your Government was going to survive overnight when Russian special forces were at Hostomel Airport and threatening to enter the capital.

Volodymyr Zelensky said, “I don’t need a ride. I need ammunition.”

More importantly, Ukrainian people said the same thing. They did not give up.

I can’t tell you when this full-scale invasion will end. But I can tell you, having witnessed 47 months of it, that Ukraine stands. Its government still stands. And, most importantly, its people still stand.
