EA on DW News: Will Trump Stall Over Release of Epstein Files?
EA-Times Radio VideoCast: Trump “Cornered” by His Epstein Scandal
I joined The Irish Times’ In The News podcast on Wednesday for a 30-minute analysis of why Donald Trump retreated over the case files of the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, accepting legislation for their release.
With host Bernice Harrison, I detail the collapse of Trump’s position, after stalling over the files for nine months, as four Republicans joined House Democrats in demanding a vote for the release.
I explain his ongoing deceptions and diversions, hoping that attention will be on “Democrats”. I detail his misogynist abuse of women journalists questioning him, with insults like “Quiet, Piggy” and threats to remove broadcasters’ licenses. But I note why these tactics are unlikely to ease the pressure on him.
I emphasize the priority: transparency, accountability, and justice for the hundreds of victims of Epstein and other powerful men who engaged in the paedophilia.
