US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, September 15, 2025
EA on Pat Kenny Show: Why Netanyahu Bombed Hamas in Qatar…and Trump Will Accept It
Q&A: Bombing in Qatar — Netanyahu Goes for the Kill v. Hamas and Gazans
UPDATE 1308 GMT:
I also joined a panel on India’s News 9 on Tuesday to analyze the Israeli mass killing in Gaza, Israel’s attempted assassination of Hamas negotiators in Qatar, and the possible response by Arab and Islamic world might respond.
The other guests are Professor Swaran Singh of Jawaharlal Nehru University and Israeli activist Dan Feferman. The host is Kartikeya Sharma.
If you’re in negotiations, it’s a firm principle in international law and diplomacy: you don’t try to kill the negotiators.
And Israel is sweeping aside all the lines in Gaza. There are no negotiations now: there is only the ultimatum, “Surrender or Gaza will be destroyed. Gaza’s buildings will be destroyed. Gaza’s civilians will be destroyed.
UPDATE, SEPT 17:
I joined Pakistan’s PTV World on Tuesday for a 31-minute discussion of Israel’s latest mass killing in Gaza, as well as its attempted assassination last week of Hamas negotiators in Qatar.
The other panellists are Raja Faisal and Farrukh Pitafi. The host is Sana Maqbool.
I evaluate the options of Gulf States and other Islamic countries, as well as the international community, in response to Israel’s latest attacks as the Netanyahu Government overruns Gaza City in its quest to establish a long-term occupation of the Strip.
The fundamental here is that the Netanyahu Government has decided — even though much of the world is against it, much of the Israeli population is against it, and the Israeli military is against it — not only to assassinate Hamas negotiators but also to override the rest of the Gaza Strip to establish a long-term occupation.
As Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have said, they are going to ‘destroy Gaza’ unless Hamas surrenders.
ORIGINAL ENTRY, SEPT 15: I joined India’s WION on Monday to explore how the Trump Administration is continuing to give full support to Israel’s Netanyahu Government for its mass killing and plan for long-term occupation of Gaza.
While US Secretary of State Marco Rubio may have privately cautioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against another attack on Qatar to assassinate Hamas senior officials, he has publicly endorsed Netanyahu’s quest to “eliminate Hamas”.
I explain how Rubio’s support comes amid the Israeli offensive to level Gaza City, with hundreds of thousands of civilians under threat — even though Israel’s military has questioned whether the assault should proceed.
