Israel Isolated as Momentum Grows for State of Palestine
I joined Germany’s DW News on Thursday to analyze Donald Trump’s threat of a new 35% tariff on Canada because Prime Minister Mark Carney provisionally recognized a State of Palestine.
I evaluate Trump’s combination of bullying, economic illiteracy, and support of Israel. I note that Ottawa is unlikely to give way to the threat, especially as the first casualties of any Trump tariff war will be Americans.
The Canadians are saying, “If you are going to bully us, we are not going to back away.”
Nobody wins in a tariff war, and Donald Trump has shot America in the foot.
