Ukraine War, Day 1,219: Russia’s War Crime — Deportation of Up to 35,000 Children

In a 23-minute VideoCast, I join Times Radio’s Frontline to analyze the latest on the frontline and beyond in Russia’s 40-month full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

I start with the context of this week’s NATO Summit and the unpredictability of Donald Trump to highlight the necessity of continued support for Ukrainian resistance, amid the success of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky getting 50 minutes of face time with Trump and Trump’s off-the-cuff statement that he might provide Patriot air defense missiles.

As almost all of Europe and other countries provide that support, I consider Vladimir Putin’s ongoing failure to conquer Ukraine.

Far from advancing towards “victory”, Russia’s forces are making only gradual moves on the frontline. And behind that frontline, Moscow is facing both economic issues and the effects of Ukraine’s strikes on key facilities supporting the invasion.

I also consider speculation that with those problems, Putin might deploy North Korean troops inside Ukraine.
