EA-ANewz VideoCast: Trump’s Demand for Gas Pipeline Across Ukraine

I joined Poland’s TVP World on Thursday for an 11-minute analysis of developments around Russia’s 38-month invasion of Ukraine.

I begin by noting the significance of Europe getting back into the discussions, two months after the Trump Administration and Russia tried in direct talks to exclude both Kyiv and the continent.

I refer to the first meeting between Trump Administration officials with representatives from Ukraine, the UK, France, and Germany, and to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s White House encounter with Donald Trump.

I also go through the imminent “memorandum of understanding” between Ukraine and the Trump Administration on rare earth minerals, asking if the deal will bring the US into support of Kyiv’s long-term security.
