EA on TVP World: Trump’s Demonstration Airstrikes on Nigeria

EA’s David Dunn joined Ireland’s RTE Radio 1 on Monday for a 17-minute assessment of possible developments in US politics in 2026.

David begins with prospects for November’s mid-term elections. He notes that while Donald Trump is slipping because of his chaotic and damaging policies, the Democrats face the challenge of re-establishing their position with many voters. Still, the trend is that there “will be a change of control”, at least in the House, and “that will break Trump’s power”.

He summarizes the growing problems for Americans with the economy and healthcare. Can Trump still succeed by “buying voters in various ways”?

While most Americans support limits on immigration, most also believe “Trump has gone too far” with “unidentified, masked ICE agents” in “frightening, indiscriminate, and un-American” operations.

Turning to the Democrats, David notes their success in November by “picking appropriate candidates” from New York City to Virginia to New Jersey. Can they repeat this on a wider scale, focusing on the issue of “affordability”?
